They are very easy to grow & easy to maintain. The strong healthy plant can produce your veggie need up to six months. They extremely like cow manure & mushroom compost.
Typical of leaf vegetables, Malabar spinach is high in vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, and calcium. It is low in calories by volume, but high in protein per calorie. The succulent mucilage is a particularly rich source of soluble fiber. Among many other possibilities, Malabar spinach may be used to thicken soups or stir-fries with garlic and chili peppers*.
Best time to sow seeds after frost. Seeds need min 15 °C to germinate. Soak the seeds in water for a few hours before planting and sow them in 10mm deep in a sunny, well-drained position. Germinates between 10-14 days. Sow them 35-50cm apart. Enjoy your harvest approx 60 days from transplanting.
