One of the beautiful chilli I have ever grown. The beautiful Pasilla Bajio chilli is slightly sweet, medium hot and rich-flavoured chilli pepper. They are green while young and turns to beautiful dark chocolate-brown when ripe. They are called “Chilaca” when fresh and used in sauce and also in salsa. But called “Pasilla” when they are grounded into a powder to make delicious mole sauces.They are high yield and a single chilli can grow up to 22cm!!!
If you want to try medium hot chilli then I would recommend this. They have a beautiful spicy flavor but won’t burn you at all. This fleshy chilli can be eaten as raw, making salsa and can be used also in dried form in curry, sauce. They are one of the most used chili peppers in South America.

Soak the seeds in water for 2 hours before planting and sow them between 5 -8mm deep in a sunny, well-drained position. Germinates between 2-4 weeks.
